Discussion on the Studies of Confucian Classics in the Recent Century

Because of the political,social and cultural changes,studies of Confucian classics in the recent century show many different characteristics from the traditional studies of Confucian classics.It has experienced a tortuous process from critical to respect,from confusion to return,and from doubting the ancientto thestepping out of the doubts in the ancient,leaving some lessons as well as a lot of unprecedented achievements.With the combination of history,philology,linguistics and archaeology,the future of studies of Confucian classics should break the limitation of single subjects to realize the interaction,communication and integration of multi-subjects.Only in this way can the Confucian classics be better interpreted.Moreover,since Confucian classics are parts of human legacies,we should study,compare and evaluate Confucian classics with the whole human civilization history as the background and thus make the theoretical contribution.
