Research on the Teaching Policy of Improving Learners' Oral English Communicative Competence

According to the experimental work of reforming college English teaching,using teaching software independently can improve students' listening comprehension,but it has little effect on developing students' oral English communicative competence.In the experimental teaching reform,the training methods employed by English teachers to develop students' communicative competence should be carefully studied,and then a tutorial way,which involves teachers' guidance in student's practice of spoken English,teaching students the communicative strategy and helping students increase their vocabulary size,is found to be an effective teaching policy to improve learners' oral English communicative competence.
