Abstract

Objective To investigate the expression of NF-κB in brain neuronal cell after cardiopulmonary resuscitation in rats. Methods Caridiac arrest model was induced by asphyxiation with ice-cold 0.5 mol Kcl in rats.Cardiopulmonary resuscitation were given 5 minutes after arrest.28 Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into 5 groups:control group(n=4)and 4 experimental group(n=6).NF-κB protein expression in the rats brain was measured by immunocytochemistry at 3,6,12 and 24 h after resusciation. Results NF-κB protein expression first appeared at 6 h,and remained to 24 h.There existed NF-κ B positive cells around hippocampal. Conclusion NF-κB expression has both protection and in jury effects on neuronal cells after global ishcemia-reperfusion in rats.
