On the Importance of the Sustainable Development for Adult Education

Abstract
In the process of realizing modernization in China,the concept of sustainable development has gradually achieved its central position in education when more and more people began to realize the importance of its role in cultivating students' overall competence.Only when we infuse students with both the scientific spirits and ethics can the society maintain the sustainable development.Therefore,the concept of sustainable development should be emphasized in higher education.In the new century we should encourage teachers to adopt the sustainable development as one of the attainment in adult education,and to cultivate students' scientific ethics in their academic pursuit.
