Common Progress under Different Circumstances:The Phases,Characteristics and Influential Factors of Modern Sports

This article used the method of documentation and process sociology to investigate the modern sports development from a perspective of time and space.The authors demonstrate that modern sports are closely related to and are transformed from the western sports.Modern sports have established worldwide sports organizations,hosted worldwide competitions and guided the worldwide sports development.Sports rules are developed and moderated,as well as worldwide sports cultural identity has formulated.Economic globalization and industrialization is an important representation of modern sports.Decolonization,unpredictability and uncertainty of the sport future are discussed in the time dimension.Decentralization,that is,transformation from single core to multi-center prestige city is demonstrated in the space dimension.Sports McDonaldization of the sport venues is a main feature in the process of modern sports development.The political,economic,cultural and social factors which influence the development of modern sports are explored.
