Omeprazole,furazolidone and amoxicilin for duodenal ulcer

Objective To investigate the efficacy of omeprazole combined with furazolidone and amoxicilin in the treatment of duodenal ulcer.Methods 50 patients with duodenal ulcer were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive oral omeprazole 20mg daily before breakfast for 4 weeks,as well as furazolidone 100 mg three times daily and amoxicilin 1000mg twice daily for 2 weeks or to receive oral omeprazole 20mg daily for 4 weeks(control group).Results The combination treatment group had a cure rate of 53.84% and an improvement rate of 42.31%,with overall effectiveness rate being 98.16%;The control group had a cure rate of 41.67% and an improvement rate of 37.50%,with overall effectiveness rate being 79.17%.The differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Omeprazole in conjunction with furazolidone and amoxicilin is effective and safe for duodenal ulcer,it can relieve symptoms and promote the healing of ulcer.
