Abstract
Liriomyza huidobrensis Blanchard is one of the most important pest of a wide variety of vegetable plants.Therefore,we investigated the development,survival and reproduction of L.huidobrensis under the constant temperatures.The results as follows:at 15~30℃,the total immature stages of L.huidobrensis had the highest survivorship at 25℃(59.1%),and the lowest at 30℃((3.9%));At 33℃,all larvae and pupa were died.The pupa seemed to be more vulnerable to unfavorable temperatures compared with other stages.The female adults of L.huidebrensis had the longest mean longevity at 15℃ and the highest mean fecundity at 25℃.The life tables(l_x) and the age schedules of female birth(m_x) were constructed.The innate capacities for increase and other useful indices of the laboratory population were compared at 4 temperatures.At 25℃,L.huidobrensis population had the highest r_m (0.2258),λ(1.26720) and R_0(125.1805).The theoretical stable age distribution revealed that very high proportion of the immature stage(above 97%) was presented in the laboratory populations as compared with the adult stage(less 3%) at all the temperatures tested.In sum,temperature had a significant effect on the survivorship and reproduction of L.huidobrensis.The temperature 20~25℃ seemed to be the most suitable for the population growth of L.huidobrensis.
