Abstract
Metropolitan area economy has become one of the more advanced forms to prompte regional economy.The developments of Central Plains Metropolitan Area are of great significance to Central Plains and even to the central part of China.This paper analyzes the scale structure,spatial structure,and functional structure,and discovers that there are problems:central city’s scale is too small,spatial structure line is single,the functional structure are quite similar.Then we offer some suggestions to improve the status of the central city Zhengzhou,to increase the radiation axis between central city and sub-central cities,and to adjust the functional structures of each city.
