On Reforming of University Library Service Method in the Information Age

In the information age, information storage , change of transmission technology and change of readers ’ information requirements all make new demands of the information service of university library. The author thinks the following steps should be taken for university library in order to offer a better service: to edit on the Internet for share of information resources; to speed up the computer-based process of information resources; to strengthen the humanized service, the elaboration service and the individualized service of library; to train service staff of new type; and to provide increment service of information resources.
