Abstract
Based on three-dimensional finite element method, under the different load combination, the prestressed abutment pier in the asymmetric loading pier neck, anchor block, and other key parts of the stress distribution were studied. The results show that the prestressing force could solve the state of high tensile stress of the abutment pier supporting large tonnage radial gate thrust, anchor block stress is basically reasonable.A larger tensile stress only appears in the cavity of it so that the reinforceing bars should be based on the stress state of structure. The high tensile stress zones mainly distribute in the pier neck, but the tensile stress is small, which can meet the demand of the prestressed concrete construction to the tensile stress,so the structure of the pier is safe.
