Abstract
Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the current situation of village clinics and the health services in Inner Mongolia, so as to provide reference for further construction of village clinics. Methods General investigation was conducted in10823 village clinics from 101 counties in Inner Mongolia. Results The study revealed that the level of infrastructure construction and equipment was not optimistic, the quantity and quality of health workers in village clinics were not enough, the existing health workers distribution was unfair for poor areas, the way of input was unfair, the health service ability of public health was low, and the public welfare of village clinic was hard to achieve. Conclusion Village clinics ought to be perfected by putting a strong emphasis on the quality of village clinics, equipping essential instruments by 100%, improving the medical level of village doctors, in-depth implementation of essential medicine zero mark-up policy, and sinking public health to village clinics.
