Abstract
Objective To investigate the safety and the therapeutic efficacy of early rehabilitation treatment for the postoperative patients in ICU with craniocerebral injury. Methods 175 cases of postoperative patients with craniocerebral injury were divided in to early rehabilitation treatment group( shortened as treatment group) and control group randomly, which were composed of 88 cases and 87 cases respectively. In addition to the basic treatment, the early rehabilitation treatment was implemented in the treatment group according to suitable individualized formulas. The degree of brain damage and the recovery of daily life of patients before and after treatment were evaluated. Results The score of GCS( glasgow coma scale) and Barthel index improved obviously after accepting early rehabilitation treatment in treatment group, which was significantly higher than the control group( P 0. 01). The basic living activity of the treatment group recovered comparatively fast, with 12 cases patients( 13. 63%) achieving the basic self- care( Barthel score 60 score) at the fifteenth days. Conclusions Early rehabilitation therapy can significantly improve the basic life skills of postoperative craniocerebral injury patients. The professional rehabilitation team is necessary for the rehabilitation of the severe recovery. It is safe and effective for the patients with craniocerebral injury to accept early rehabilitation therapy in charged by professional rehabilitation therapists.
