The Experimental Study on Blood Components and Hemorheology in High Blood Viscosity Rats

Abstract

Objective To detect indexes of the visible components and hemorheology of high blood vi- scosity rats model by high polymer dextran, look for the law of changes and analyze causes. Methods Rats were randomly divided into high blood viscosity group and the normal control group. Whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, erythrocyte sedimentation, fibrinogen and visible components were determined continuously in 10 days and compared with the normal control group. Results Leucocyte, erythrocyte, hematocrit, ferrohemoglobin and platelet reduced obviously. Whole blood viscosity increased. The contents of fibrinogen and plasma viscosty increased obviously and they were proportional. Er ythrocyte sedimentation changed very fast and was keeping fast level after five days. Conclusions High polymer dextran can increase whole blood viscosty and plasma viscosity. High polymer dextran can damage erythrocyte, this cause hematocrit and ferrohemoglobin to reduce. Leucocyte and platelet rely on endothelium of blood vessel. The aggregation of erythrocyte increased.
