The Chronicle Biography of Song Luo

Song Luo(1634-1713)is also named as Muzhong,Mantang,Xibi,Person of Mianjin Mountain,Canglang Pavilion,Master of duck-raising and Xibijushi.He was born in Shangqiu,Henan province in 1634.When he was 14 years old,he served as an official.He was granted as Tongpan(a kind of official title) in Huangzhou in the third year of the KangXi Emperor(the second emperor of the Qing Dynasty,1664) and then as the governor of Jiangxi and Jiangning and then as an official who took charge of the staff personnel department until He resigned from his official post.He died at the age of 80 in the fifty-second year of the KangXi Emperor(1713).He was adept at poem,handwriting and drawing and was well-known for his poems in the literary world in the early Qing Dynasty.Many scholars and poets traveled and made friends with him at that time.
