Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effect of endogenous CO and NO in rats with paraquat induced lung injury. Methods: The injured lung tissue was studied by HE staining and plasma MDA concentration was detected to evaluate the severity of lung injury.Level of TNF-α was detected. The content of CO,NO and the activity of iNOS in the lung tissue was determined. The expression of HO-1 and iNOS protein was detected by Western Blot. Results: The degree of lung injury was serious obviously after paraquat poisoning. The content of MDA and level of TNF-α elevated significantly. After treatment with hemin, the content of CO increased, but the activity of iNOS and the content of NO decreased. Conclusion: Endogenous CO and NO in lung tissue were increased in rats with paraquat induced lung injury. The level of CO was increased and NO was decreased after treated with hemin, and it might lessened the parauqat induced acute lung injury of rats.
