Abstract

Objective To investigate the protective effect of ischemic preconditioning on rat with renal cold ischemia reperfusion injury.[WTHZ]Methods Thirty-six SD rats with cold ischemia reperfusion injury were randomly divided into the following 3 groups: the sham operated group(A),cold ischemia reperfusion group(B),and treatment group(C) receiving ischemic(5 minutes) and reperfusion(5 minutes) three times. The expression of Bcl-2 and Bax protein were observed with immunohistochemistry. The level of renal function,SOD,MDA and histologic examination were detected. Results Blood urea nitrogen and creatinine levels in group B and C were significantly higher than in group A(P0.01),group C was lower than group B(P0.01).SOD in group C was significantly higher than in group B(P 0.01),but MDA decreased significantly(P(0.01)).Bcl-2 and Bax were all increased in group B and group C as compared with that of group A(P0.01).Bcl-2 was increased but Bax was decreased significantly in group C than in group B(P0.01).Group C showed a less pathological change and a lighter renal impairment(P0.01).Conclusion Ischemic preconditioning has protective effect on renal cold ischemia reperfusion injury through regulating Bcl-2 and Bax expression.
