The Current Situation of Geopolitical Political System in Middle East and its Influence on China

Since the end of the Cold War, having been more and more strategically significant in the international political system, Middle East region has become one of the vital areas that various political forces compete for. After the 9.11. attack, American armed forces marched into Middle East in the name of fighting against terrorist, which cause a significant change of political situation in this region. By reviewing the characteristics of reversions of geopolitical political system in Middle East, this article offers a thorough explanation of its strategic significance to China in terms of geo-economics, security and politics. Besides, it also analyses the opportunities and challenges China may confront with in this region as well as counter measures that need to be taken.
