Abstract
Since the year 2011, the geopolitical situation of the South China Sea has relatively significantly changed, mainly reflected as that the scramble from the peripheral countries claiming sovereignty on the islands and resources in the South China Sea are increasingly fierce and that the interaction between the internal and external forces in this area become more and more frequent. The geopolitical conflict is the profound factor to promote the development of the regional political situation. Currently, the most important strategy choice determined by China to solve the South China Sea disputes is to bring the issue into the integral geopolitical strategy, and to positively deal with the relationship with the peripheral countries claiming sovereignty on islands and with the external great powers.
