Abstract
Objective:To observe clinical effect in malocclusion treated with multiloop edgewise archwire﹙MEAW﹚. Method:Two openbite、12 skeletal class Ⅲ and 7 skeletal class Ⅱ cases were treated wih MEAW technique, and the change of jaws, overbite and overjet were observed. Result:The overbite increased average 6 mm in 2 openbite cases; for 7 skeletal Class Ⅱ cases, the overbite and overjet decreased average 3.62 mm and 4.5 mm respectively; In 12 skeletal Class Ⅲ cases, the overjet changed 4.14 mm in average. Conclusion:Mild and moderate skeletal malocclusion can be treated successfully by MEAW technique.
