Influence of Context upon Language Meanings: a Pragmatic View

From the angle of pragmatics, this paper attempts to analyze the influence of context upon language meaning, and reveals the relations between these two factors in language communication, namely, the understanding of meaning depends on context, and context influences the understanding of meaning. Eventually it’s called in this paper that teachers should pay attention to developing students’ abilities of understanding and using language in context.
