Abstract

In order to know the germicidal property and stability of the disinfection effervescent tablet, carrier quantitative germicidal test was used to carry out experimental observation. Results: The solution containing available chlorine 750 mg/L with a 40 min contact time killed 100% of spores of Bacillus subtilis var. niger, the solution containing available chlorine 400 mg/L with a 10 min contact time and 5 min contact time killed 100% of Candida albicans and Staphylococcus aureus respectively and the solution containing available chlorine 100 mg/L with a 10 min contact time killed 100% of Escherichia coli. The organic substance influenced slightly its germicidal efficacy. The available chlorine content of the effervescent tablet decreased by 7.30% after storing at 54℃ for 14 days. Conclusion: The disinfection effervescent tablet has good germicidal efficacy and stable property.
