Abstract
It is quite important to choose a rational design and construction scheme for construction of large span tunnel.Taking the large span tunnel for the railwy station at the entrance of Jinzhulin Tunnel of Neijiang-Kunming Railway as an example,the treatment of rock sliding at the portal was described in detail.The difference of design of a tunnel section with large span for railway station at the portal,which passes through faults from that of tunnel for ordinary raliway station,was described as well.Various construction programs for this tunnel section were compared.The data recorded during monitoring can serve as reference for design of similar tunnel.
