Evaluation on Blood Platelet Count by Sysmex XE-2100 Hematology Analyzer

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the accuracy of Blood Platelet Count by Sysm ex XE-2100 Hematology Analyzer. Methods The precision, linear range and contami nate rate of blood platelet count were tested by Sysmex XE-2100 Hematology Anal yzer; 150 specimens were counted by Sysmex XE-2100 Hematology Analyzer and comp ared with those under microscopy, then to analyze the correlation. Results The p recision, linear range and contaminate rate of blood platelet count are in the a llowable range. There was significant correlation in the results between two met hods, the correlation coefficient of PLT-O and PLT-I were 0.9937 and 0.9854 (P 0.01). Conclusions Blood platelet count by Sysmex XE-2100 Hematology Analyzer is quick, convenient and accurate, it is satisfied with needs of blood platelet count in the clinical laboratory.
