Analysis of antibiotic application for outpatients in our hospital

Objective To analyze the status of antibiotic application in out-patient clinic in our hospital and provide guide for clinical use of antibiotics.Method In this retrospective study,8 000 clinic prescriptions were collected randomly from prescriptions during April 2009 to June 2009 were analyzed statistically.Results There were 4 210 antibiotic prescriptions in 8 000 clinic prescriptions.In which one to four antibiotics was used in combinations,with the rate of 81.85%,17.22%,0.86% and 0,retrospectively.At the same time,there also existed the phenomenon of irrational using of drugs.Conclusion The application rate of antibiotics of inpatients is high,and some usage of antibiotics are without symptoms.Therefore,we should strengthen the management on the use of antimicrobial in order to promote the rational use of antimicrobia.
