Abstract

Objective To investigate the changes of thyroglobulin antibody(TGAb) and thyroid peroxidase antibody(TPOAb) in patients with hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism, and evaluate its clinical value. Methods 100 cases with hyperthyroidism were divided into four groups: newly diagnosed hyperthyroidism group, hyperthyroidism relapse group, remission of hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism after treatment groups.Serum levels of TGAb and TPOAb were detected in 100 hyperthyroidism,60 hypothyroidism cases and 30 healthy adults. Results The positive rates of TGAb and TPOAb in patients with hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism were higher than those of normal control group. The TPOAb-positive rates in pre-therapy and post-treatment were significantly higher than that of TGAb in 100 patients with hyperthyroidism patients in pretherapy and post-treatment.No matter newly diagnosed hyperthyroidism group, hyperthyroidism relapse group, remission of hyperthyroidism group, hyperthyroidism after treatment group, the two antibody positive rates were different significantly between pretherapy and post-treatment.Conclusion Quantitative detection of TGAb and TPOAb are significant in identification, diagnosis and treatment of thyroid disease.Clinical value of TPOAb is higher relatively than TGAb.
