Exploration of cultural input in college English teaching

In addition to teaching the basic language knowledge to students,college English teaching should be focused on imparting cultural knowledge of the English and American nations,such as politics and history,culture and customs and modes of thinking.Through language,the communication tool,students can appreciate the colorful exotic cultures and improve their bilingual communicative competence.The focal point of college English teaching is now gradually shifted from language teaching to cultural teaching.Through the exploration and discussion of the methods and basic principles,it is further proved that the cultural input is a very important and necessary link in the college English classroom teaching.
