Study on Sero-epidemiology of Hepatitis B in Population After Newborns Inoculating With Hepatitis B Vaccine for 20 Years

Abstract

Objective To understand and measure the impact form immunization activities,and to evaluate the vaccination achievements of the large-scale newborn hepatitis B vaccine since April,1985.Methods We conducted sero—epidemiological studies in national 75 science and technology attack topic observation area.The group sampling method was applied.Each family served as the observation unit and each subject was gathered venous blood.HBsAg,anti-HBs and anti-HBc in their blood samples were tested by SPRIA.Results HBsAg positive rate,anti-HBs positive rate and HBV infection rate among populations were 6.03%,37.75% and 37.33% respectively.The HBsAg positive rate and HBV infection rate were declined while the anti-HBs positive rate was raised significantly in the same areas as compared with the data of 1987.Conclusions The results suggest that the epidemiological characteristics of hepatitis B have already changed in China.The newborn hepatitis B vaccination program obtains a satisfactory result.
