Abstract
In the modern war, electromagnetic domain has become to be the fifth battlefield besides the land, the sea,the sky,and the space. The key to control information in the war is to control electromagnetic spectrum, which is achieved by battlefield spectrum management. In this paper, the basic conception of battlefield spectrum management is explained. Then the present situation of the management of military electromagnetic spectrum abroad is specially introduced. And in the view of current hot topics about battlefield spectrum management, the technological challenge and trend of spectrum management faced in joint operations in complex electromagnetic environment are discussed.
