Abstract

Objective To research the effect of early nursing intervention on constipation of patients with chronic heart failure. Methods 140 cases with chronic heart failure were randomly divided into intervention group and control group with 70 cases in each group. The intervention group from the time of admission carried out namely abdominal massage, bowel habit training, diet guidance, psychological care, environmental management and nursing interventions. The control group received routine nursing care in patients with chronic heart failure in general, prophylactic given regular doses of laxatives. The constipation and the incidence of adverse reactions were observed. Results The incidence of constipation of intervention group and the control group were 10% and 22.9%,respectively(P0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions of intervention group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P0.01).Conclusion Early implementation of specific nursing intervention measures on patients with chronic heart failure can effectively improve the patients with constipation phenomenon and reduce the complications.
