Current Status and Development of Seawater Desalination

Aiming at the fast development technique of sea-water desalination for dealing with global water crisis as an efficient method,the current industrial technique for sea-water desalination,the combination of desalination with new energy,new desalination techniques and development trend have been introduced in this paper.The principle and technical characteristics of seawater desalination methods,including reverse osmosis method,low temperature high efficiency distillation method,multi-stage flash distillation method are described in detail.
