Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical value of detecting five serum markers:CA15-3,CA125,CEA,CYFRA21-1 and TPS in different combination for diagnosis of breast cancer. Methods The five serum markers were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay in 48 cases of breast cancer and 20 cases of benign breast diseases. Results The levels and the positive rates of the five serum markers in breast cancer patients were significantly higher than those of benign breast disease patients. The sensitivity of breast cancer by detecting the five serum markers respectively was 54.2%,47.9%,29.1%,43.75% and 31.25%,and that was 87.5% by CA15-3 plus CA125.Conclusion The serum markers--CA125,CA15-3 and CYFRA21-1 were much more sensitive markers, and the combined detection of CA125 and CA15-3 was an effective method in screening breast cancer.
