Abstract

Interoperability of combat systems is the key issue not only for the joint operation of diverse armed services but also for winning information superiority in future war.One of the key issues for realizing the interoperability of combat systems is the evaluation of the effectiveness of the interoperability, which is to evaluate the quantified improvement of the effectiveness. This paper aims at demonstrating the effectiveness of interoperation methodology through the simulation of its influence on combat effectiveness. The simulation system based on the proposed index system and the integrated evaluation method for the effectiveness of interoperability of combat system is developed by VC++.The procedures of simulation are introduced and a simple simulation example is finally discussed. It is proved that this simulation evaluation approach is practicable for evaluating the effectiveness of the interoperability of combat systems.
