Abstract

Objective To observe and evaluate the analgesic effects of low concentration of ropivacaine combined with fentanyl and midazolam for epidural analgesia after operation. Methods Forty four postoperative patients were randomly divided into A and B groups (n = 20, each). Patients were administered continuous epidural anesthesia with 0. 0894% ropivacaine +2-4μg/ml fentanyl +30-50μg/ml midazolam (in group A) or 0. 15% bupivacaine +2-4μg/ml fentanyl +30-50μg/ml midazolam (in group B). VAS,BP,HR,SpO2 ,Bromage score and side effects were respectively recorded at 6,12 and 24 h after operation. Results VAS and Bromage scores were lower in group A than that in group B(P0. 01). No statistically significant differences in vital signs and incidences of side effects between the two groups (P0.05). Conclusion low concentration(0.0894%) of ropivacaine combined with 2-4μg/ml fentanyl and 30-50μg/ml midazolam for patient controlled epidural analgesia can offer favorable analgesic effects, weak motor nerve block and few side effects.
