Abstract

Aim Effect of different strontium raw materials on the Sol, Gel and the nanocrystalline powders of (Sr,Pb)TiO_3 were invesitigated. Methods The nanocrystalline powders of (Sr,Pb)TiO_3 were prepared in Sol-Gel process .Results The gel time is prolonged when more acetic acid was added. In addition, water volume is another important factor for the gel formation.Adding more water in the system leads to longer gel time. The phases of (Sr,Pb)TiO_3 powders were investigated by XRD,and the images were investigated by TEM. All the XRD results show that the nanocrystalline powders of (Sr,Pb)TiO_3 are perovskite phase. Conclusions Each of the strontium raw materials has its own strong point. Using strontium acetate as strontium raw material, the pure perovskite powders of (Sr_(0.4)Pb_(0.6))TiO_3 have been prepared. The average grain size of the powders is ~18 nm, most of which are spherical.
