Abstract
The general education pays attention to character education, emphasizing interdisciplinary understanding. In college English reform, the second developmentof textbook should be first step, teaching resources enriched, arts and sciences introduced, to realize integration of general education and major education. Focusing on general education in college English teaching is not only beneficial to students' English learning, but also effective in culture education and national culture understanding.
