Abstract

In order to obtain low alloy cast with excellent alkali-corrosion resistance, the effect of nickel, chromium, copper and rare earth addition on the alkali-corrosion resistance of low alloy cast iron was studied through orthogonal experiment method, and the corrosion rates are tested by weigh-loss. The results show that RE-Si and Cr have the largest and the least effects on the alkali-corrosion resistance of low alloy cast iron respectively. The alloy cast iron containing 1.5%Ni, 0.5%Cr, 2.0%Cu and 0.3~0.5% RE-Si has the best corrosion resistance, its corrosion rate is about 1.074×10-3mm/a .
