Abstract
Information literacy cultivation is an important way of quality education,and an important means to promote lifelong learning and establishment of the study-oriented society. On the basis of the overview in the evolution of connotation of the information literacy and information literacy education,the article analyses the reality requiration of information literacy education to contemporary college students. Combining with the information era and social development background,this article explains the necessity and urgency of information literacy education for college students,and puts forward college students information literacy training countermeasures and ways based on the institutions of higher learning.
