Abstract

A gas chromatographic method is developed forthe determination offattyacid methyl esters and glycerides in bio-diesel samples.A non-polar capillary column of high temperature tolerance was used for separation. The sample was introduced via the cool on-column injector and detected by the flame ionization detector without pre-derivation.The internal standard method was used for quantification. The method is simple and rapid and can be used for the determination of the conversion rate of fatty acid glycerides in the preparation process of bio-diesel.
