Abstract

Capillary column gas chromatography was proposed for the determination of methyl esters of fatty acids in this paper. The capillary column HP-INNOWAX(1 μm,30 m×0.53 mm,polyethylene glycol) and FID detector were used in this work.Temperature conditions were selected as follows: for injector inlet 250 ℃,for column 220 ℃ and for detector 280 ℃.Flow rate of carrier gas nitrogen was 128 mL·min-1.Qualitative analysis was based on the retention time and the normalized peak area was used for quantitative analysis. The proposed method was applied to the determination of 7 methyl esters of fatty acids in standard sample of peanut oil, giving results in consistency with the standard values, and values of RSD′s obtained were in the range from 0.1% to 5.6%.
