The Intensive Study of Oracle Bone Inscriptions for Sun Yi-rang(孙诒让) and Universal Use of Synonymous Meaning and Character’s Form

This paper discusses the case that Sun Yi-rang (孙诒让) does textual research and makes explanations for oracle bone inscriptions through universal use of synonymous meaning and character’s form. Sun Yi-rang(孙 诒让) is the first to find that universal use of synonymous meaning and character’s form exists in ancient Chinese characters and is the pioneer who does textual research and makes explanations for oracle bone inscriptions through it, but he didn’t gave any conclusion in theory. And this paper arranges numerous instances of the universal use of synonymous meaning and character’s form which appeared in Qiwen Juli(契文举例).
