Overviews on theory and approaches of coastal geological hazards evaluation

Based on the previous studies of the classification of geological hazards,the concept of coastal geological hazards is re-examined.After introducing several concepts related to geological hazard evaluation,the theories and various methods about the frangibility,hazard,vulnerability and risk evaluation of coastal geological hazards have been summarized.In addition,it is suggested that the interdisciplinary methods need to be used in the quantitative evaluation and information-based management of coastal geological hazard in the future.
