Abstract

Yu, the outstanding prose writer in the Tang Dynasty of ancient China, vigorously advocatedthe Movement of Ancient Chinese Prose and earnestly practiced it with his eminent prose creation, thus forminga unique aesthetic feature Han Ru Chao, that is, the mighty beauty of momentum. His proses were straightfor-ward and emotional in content and flexible in structure. At the same time he used the crisscross of the odd andeven sentences and narration and parallelism as his techniques of expression. All the characteristics mentionedabove formed his unique beauty of momentum. This aesthetic pursuit resulted from the practice of his theory ofancient Chinese proses and had exerted a great influence on the later generations.
