Abstract
The reaction conditions of synthesis of starch-modified cationic flocculant was studied, using the ceric ammonium nitrate and peroxydisufate nitrate(CAN-APS) initiation system by means of crosstesr in the paper. The results showed optimal conditions of graft copolymer are CAN-APS 1.2mol/L,the material ratio of acrylamide(AM) and starch(St)2∶1(mass ratio),temperature 50℃ and time 3h.The condition of cation∶acrylamide∶formaldehyde∶dimethylamine 1∶1∶3(mass ratio),temperature 50℃,and time 2h.
