Abstract

Objective To study the relationship between apolipoprotein E gene polymorphism and coronary heart disease(CHD) among Xinjiang Uygur and Han nationalities. Methods We regarded the Uygur and Han nationality as the research object, using the CPR methods and SNP classification technology to research apoE gene polymorphism and its relationship with coronary heart disease.Results(1)The frequencies of e4 allele gene in the Han CHD group were higher than that of the control group(P0.05).The frequencies of e4 allele gene in the Uygur control group were high than that of the Han control group(P0.05).(2) The frequencies of E3/4 genotypes in the Uygur CHD group were higher than that of the control group(P0.05).The frequencies of E3/3 genotypes in the Han CHD group were higher than that of the control group(P0.05).The frequencies of E2/4 genotypes in the Han control group were higher than that of the Uygur control group(P0.05).Conclusion Apo E polymorphism is associated with the susceptible of CHD.The increasing frequencies of apo E3/4 genotype and e4 allele gene may be a CHD harm factor. These study confirm that the apo E phenotype distribution in Uygur population differed significantly from Han population in Xinjiang.
