Abstract

OBJECTIVE To indicate total paeony glycoside's(TPG) function of promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis by its effects on rat blood stasis and the weight as well as inhibition ratio of arteriovenous bypass thrombus.METHODS The method of cold stimulation and adrenaline injection were applied to establish the rat blood stasis model, and then blood was drawn from common carotid artery to detect each hemorheological indexes. The wet and dry weights of thrombus were determined by setting up arteriovenous bypass thrombus model.RESULTS TPG could significantly reduce the conglomeration of PLT and RBC,enhance the ability of erythrocyte deformation, prolong PT and APIT,and decrease the whole blood viscosity and the formation of thrombus.CONCLUSION TPG has the function of promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis.
