A Model Dilemma:Reflections on the Concepts and Processes of Chinese Modernization

The issue of China Model should not remain a purely theoretical interest and be degraded to void propaganda or a play of technical terms lacking theoretical and academic value.It is by no means a superficial and hasty judgment and labeling of the current situation,nor a mere generalization of political achievements,nor a fabrication of fantasy to cover up problems and to overstate reality.As a reflection of reality,it should be supplied with specific and concrete contents.As a theory of exploration,it should be concerned with solutions to China's current problems and with envisions of future planning.Probes into China Model are to focus on themes and difficulties in China's development and on the general direction of future development as well as on policies aiming at sustainable political and societal stability.Modernization thus becomes the theme of China's development and the core of China Model,which is related to China's political system and institution design.Accordingly,an advanced,stable,effective and favorable political,economic and social order or system is the key to China Model construction.Starting from the significance of modernization,this article aims to interpret the connotation of China Model,and areas to be formulated and improved in its modernization process.It is finally pointed out that a sure way to construct China Model is to further China's modernization.
