Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of calcium dobesilate on arisolochic acid nephrapathy(AAN). Methods Forty-eight patients with AAN were randomly divided into two groups. Twenty-six cases received calcium dobesilate(0.5 g,three times a day) plus routine methods, were the treated group(n=26). The others were consist of control group only received routine therapeutics(n=22). The concentrations of Urinary protein, serum creatinine and BUN had been measured after 8 weeks of study. Results Urinary protein, serum creatinine and BUN decreased significantly in both groups. Comparing to control group, the Urinary protein, serum creatinine and BUN reduced much lower than those of calcium dobesilate treated group. Conclusion Calcium dobesilate can meliorated urinary protein excretion and promoted the renal function of patients with AAN.
