Changes of Teacher-student Ceremony in the Republic of China(1912-1949)

Abstract

The teacher-student ceremony,a part of traditional Chinese ceremony,was given a new concept in the Republic of China(1912-1949).Its changes are explored from the five aspects of addressing,content,form,object and relations,by comparing it with the relations between Confucius and Yan Hui.Thus,the particular features and cultural connotation of teacher-student ceremony in the Republic of China are revealed.
