Abstract
The crankshaft,as a key transmission part in single-cylinder diesel engine,is likely to bent fatigue break, and the low wear-resistance causes shorter life of the shaft, even early wreckage. This research analyses the material with experiments, and does some techniques optimization for the crankshaft shell casting, finding the range of the quantity of the trace elements in the ductile iron and adequate temperature of casting;technical standards and the selection of coated sand. Finally, the author improved the technical design of the crankshaft shell casting of the mono-vat diesel, and put it into production.
