Abstract
The Ningbo dialect,a branch of the Wu dialect,has its own peculiarities in its phonetics,lexemes and grammar.The lexical features of the Ningbo dialect can well be shown through the comparison between the Ningbo dialect on the one hand,and the standard Chinese,other variaties of the Wu dialect and the classic Chinese,on the other.
